American Sign Language has some signs for prepositions, but does not need to use them. Instead, we use space and classifiers. • 2. Please list ten prepositions in English: • ___ ___ ___ ___ ____ ___ ____ ____ ___ ___ • 3. Can you underline the preposition in each sentence A and B? and then think of how to sign these two sentences (without a sign for the preposition)? • A. “The book is on the chair.” • B. “The coffee cup is on the paper.”

  3. ASL 1-Short “Spritz” Stories- created yesterday- are you ready? 5 min. to practice? Shhh: • S- Signs you are learning • P- Plot (have an event, action- something happens) • R- Role (every person is a character- who?) • I- Involve everyone (each person signs at least a part) • T- Time- (when/where are you?) • Z- Zazzle us--- act it out! • **Please add a line for any absent student  • 1. Choose at least one winter holiday sign • 2. Prepare your story- at least 1 sentence per person • 3. Present to the class! 

  9. Ticket Out: • Pack up and ready to sign until time to go • Test yourself- do you know these signs? Copy them once, see if you are ready or need to learn them (Unit 14 parts 1-4) • As a team- if ready, you may switch to the holiday signs, Unit C Part 1 and Unit C Part 2
