Summer 2013 • Develop/send survey around topic areas and request for committee membership to be sent out to parents. • Develop survey for student administration this summer for distribution early this fall.
September 2013 • Work with elementary principals to select student representatives from each school’s fifth grade class to meet and discuss big ideas, operational procedures and student events (Student Forum Representatives). • Survey students about program.
October/November 2013 • October - Student Forum Meeting to discuss and clarify survey results • October - Finalize building schedule and course catalogue. Emphasis is made on common planning time. • November - Proposal for any new courses (World Language, Tech Ed.) to BCC. • November - Parent forum
November 2013 • Community meeting on progress
February/March 2014 • February - Parent Forum and Student Forum Meetings • February - School visitation on course recommendations and placement with guidance and LS and administration. • March - Finalize interdisciplinary teams (however they are organized). • March - Finalize teaming and buddy system selection for students.
Late Spring 2014 • March, April, May - Schedule transition G/IEP meetings. • May - Combined Parent Forum/Student Forum Public Meeting - Program Presentation • May - Scheduling runs
Summer 2014 • June - Send student schedules. • Summer 2014 - Building orientation programs, tours and final work TBD
