  2. REGRA GERAL Acrescentar s ao substantivo: Ex: car (carro): cars table (mesa): tables door (porta): doors

  3. Exceções 1) Substantivos terminados em o, x, ss, sh, ch recebem o acréscimo de es: Ex: tomato (tomate): tomatoes. fox (raposa): foxes kiss (beijo): kisses brush (escova): brushes watch (relógio): watches

  4. Exceções 2) Substantivos terminados em consoante +Y:substantivo – y + ies: Ex: factory (fábrica): factories lady (senhora): ladies Mas: substantivos terminados em vogal +y: substantivo +s (igual à regra geral): Ex: boy (menino): boys day (dia): days

  5. Exceções 3) Substantivos terminados em man: man passa para men: Ex: fireman (bombeiro): firemen salesman (vendedor): salesmen woman (mulher): women
