The white and dark green field represents: minorities & Muslim majority, respectively. The crescent on the flag represents: progress. The five-rayed star represents: light and knowledge.

PAKISTAN - AN OVER VIEW • on October 12, 2007, General Pervez Musharraf completed the eighth year of being in total power, the military had governed the country for a total of 32 years; the economy grew at an average rate of 6.3 % a year.For the remaining 28 years, the economy’s performance was less impressive, the GDP increased at the annual rate of 4.7 %. • Does this mean that the military is a better manager of the economy? • This question does not have an easy answer
