Brown vs. Board of Education • Linda Brown is seven years old and has to walk across railroad tracks and take an old bus to get to her African American school. • It upsets me that she has to walk so far because of her skin color. • I would like to know more about how Linda felt about the situation. I would like to interview her.

What We Learned Breanna Welch Alyssa Wagner • I learned that in the past people were very strict about your skin color. • If they didn’t like you they would kill you or find some way to hurt you. • Because people were so used to racism, when the laws changed a lot of fights happened. • The world is a better place now then it was in the past. • I learned that people were very racist in the past. • People were violent to each other because of skin color. • People could not get used to the idea of desegregation because they were so used to segregating. • African Americans were treated very badly.
