Martin Luther King J.r. • The things that interested me the most were his speeches he gave to people and the way he talked to them and inspired many people. • The thing that angered me the most was that most people were against him just because of his skin color, and how he was raised instead of his intelligence. • I would like to learn more about the way he really die, and who was the person that killed him, and why that person did what they did.

  3. Martin Luther King Jr Who is MLK. This is a picture of Martin Luther King Jr., a man who was an inspiration to all ages old and young, and also an inspiration to all African Americans. He won over their hearts with his amazing speeches and his fight towards segregation.

Jim Crow Stories • The thing that intersred me the most was the people and the way they fought to get to the top and make their voices heard by many. • The one thing that angered me the most was that that the majority of people thought that segregation was still a good idea and shouldn’t go. • I would like to learn more about the other people that were also involved that were not mention in the site.

  7. Charlotte Hawkins Brown This is a picture of Charlotte Hawkins Brown, one of the many that is part of the Jim Crow Stories. She also gave a quote saying “External contains must not be allowed to segregate mind or soul”.

  9. Benjamin "Pap" Singleton This is a picture of another victim of the Jim Crow Stories who was also leader of "Great Exodus," a migration of tens of thousands of African Americans, called "Exodusters”.

Montgomery Bus Boycott • The thing that interested me the most was that Rosa Park stood up for her self. • The thing that upseted me the most was that the person that kicked her out of the seat on the bus was a man an had no manners what so ever. • I would like to learn more about what happened to her after she got out of jail.

  16. Powerful Days • The thing that interested me the most was the fact that the man was actually there to see and have witness of everything. And also everything else that happened towards the hate between blacks and whites • The thing that angered me the most was that only one man cared about the segregation between the blacks and whites. • I would like to learn more about the man that witnessed the argument

  17. The attack! After black students were refused service in the whites-only cafeteria in Montgomery, a white man swings a baseball bat at a shopper, while another strikes a black woman in the background. Charles Moore was RUNNING across the street when he took this picture.

  18. Pressure! In Birmingham, anti-segregation demonstrators lie on the sidewalk to protect themselves from firemen with high PRESSURE water hoses. One disgusted fireman said later, "We're supposed to fight fires, not people."

  19. Lawmen the local LAWMEN show what they plan to do to U.S. Marshals, sent to assure the admission of James Meredith as the first black student at the University of Mississippi ("Ole Miss"). artifact.

What We Learned Nidia Martinez Carissa Brestowski • That not every one was into segregation. • The colored people had to fight hard just for their freedom • MLK and Rosa Parks are good role models for African Americans. • Segregation could be wrong at times • The colored people had to fight for their freedom and the white people just got it handed to them. • Segregation is wrong. Just because your white doesn’t mean your better then everybody. The colored people deserve to be treated the same. • Rosa Parks was a very good role model for African American men and women. • Segregation isn’t right. Not many people were for it. Most against it.
