Brown vs. Board of Education One thing that was interesting to me was that there was also segregation in other parts of the country. What was it like at the colored only school was the education, and classes the same as the whites school? I got upset because I don’t think its fair for a little girl to walk 21 blocks to get to school when there’s one only 7 blocks away.
Thurgood Marshall Here on the left of the photograph is a young Thurgood Marshall. He would later go on to become a Supreme Court justice, serving from 1967 until 1991. But his greatest accomplishment of his life came in 1954 when he helped win the case of Brown v. Board of Education.
