Key Truth: Small groups provide the context for learning the Bible (discipleship) and loving one another. “They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts.” Acts 2:46
Small Group Basics1.There must be a LEADER “It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers…” Ephesians 4:11
Small Group Basics2. The members must be COMMITTED to the group. “Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves.” Romans 12:10

The group must have a PURPOSE “Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.’” Matthew 22:37-40
