Loss Prevention Detect, Deter, Report • Detect • Keep an eye on customers and your surroundings as you work. So you can also spot potential security issues too! • Deter • Deter if you can, to put the potential criminal off taking something. You can do this by tidying up close by, offering them a basket or some help. You must not accuse or touch them, as this could result in you breaking the law. • Report • Let someone know as soon as possible. The duty manager will check the CCTV and report the issue to Loss Prevention.
