  1. Earth Observations Task Force • Initiated via staff outreach to address third strategic imperative – advance technologies to monitor and reduce environmental impacts • Goal is to support and communicate aerospace capabilities with respect to informing climate debate – not taking a stand on climate change • Volunteer leadership engaged and guiding activities • Status • 6 meetings held since beginning of October • Developed information paper and worked through appropriate approval channels • Circulated press release announcing formation of group coincident with beginning of Copenhagen summit • Planning for series of workshops in CY10 to develop EO roadmap • Need to determine how to handle these strategic groups that don’t fall cleanly into current standing committee structure
