Critical Reach Provides Real-Time Distribution of Photo Alerts • Internal Distribution to Officers, Stations • Transmit Alerts to Other Jurisdictions— to Critical Reach Systems, Email, or Fax • Transmit Alerts to Community—Schools, Banks, Hospitals, Media, Transportation Centers, etc. Let’s Review A Few Real-World Critical Reach Alert Samples

Put the power of images to work on any type of case • 1-Image Portrait with Personal Data fields template • Only fields with data entered are displayed
6-Image Template ideal for photo lineups, stolen property, and gang identification work.
Use artist sketches, video frame capture, booking photos, digital cameras, or printed photos • Distribute alerts to other officers, other jurisdictions, or the public.
Enhance Officer Safety • Close more cases more quickly • Build a more effective partnership with the community Let’s Create and Transmit an Alert
This is the Critical Reach Main Menu, the first screen after starting the application. • Unique system ID and on-site contact show on Main Menu • Easy to use—no hidden commands, single left mouse click to perform action. • Inbox—blinks yellow and beeps when alert is RECEIVED for real-time notification • SystemStatus—green means good connectivity with program servers Click Create New Bulletin to build an alert
Follow the prompts to start building an alert. • Click to select the number of images in the alert—0, 1, 2, 3, or 6.
All options presented at bottom of screen • Just fill in the template provided by the software • Case # and Author ID are MANDATORY Fields—some data must be entered • Tab from one field to the next—skip fields with no data to be entered Point at Image Area and click to insert an image
Select source for image. Images can be scanned or imported from any drive the computer can see—CD-ROM, floppy, hard drive, network drive, or digital camera.
Clear instructions on cropping are displayed. HelpfulHint—For best results, make the shape of the selected area the same as the shape of the image area on the template • CR presents your image to crop and/or rotate. • To crop the image, hold down left mouse and drag box to select just the portion of the picture to be placed on the alert. • CR will automatically size your image for the template. • Click Rotate to turn the image 90 degrees. Click OK to place the selected image area on the template.

Three ways to select recipients—shown here is Attribute Based Recipients • User defines geography • User defines org types • Shared address book supplies all recipients defined by those geo/org attributes—CR Systems, email, & fax • User can remove any recipient by un-checking box on left. • User creates a list of recipients, shown at bottom of screen. User can select multiple geo/org sets and continue to add recipients to the list. Let’s Move On to Private Groups of Recipients
User enters Group ID and Password • Private Groups are created on the Address Book site accessed on the Internet • Private Groups are confidential—only those with the Group ID and Password can transmit alerts to these recipients. • Ideal for internal distribution of alerts to officers, task force work, or for a recipient group not easily defined by geo/org attributes. Let’s Move On to Single Recipients
Click the radial button to select Critical Reach System, Email Address, or Fax recipient • Enter the recipient address information • Click Add Selected Recipients to add to list • Recipients added as Single Recipients are not saved in the address book. Click Transmit to send alert to all selected recipients.

Alerts sent to other Critical Reach Systems and Email addresses are at no cost. • Alerts sent to faxes cost $.07/page. This is billed monthly by Easy Link directly to the department. Click OK to transmit the alert. Alerts are received within minutes by all recipients.
