  2. COMIENZO DEL CAMBIO CLIMÁTICO • Durante cientos de miles de años la concentración de CO2 en la atmósfera cambiaba cíclicamente con un máximo de 280 partes por millón, a fines del siglo XX superó ese máximo y crece de la forma que se exhibe en la siguiente diapositiva

  4. EQUILIBRIO TÉRMICO Las corrientes marinas –como se ve en la siguiente diapositiva- enfrían los lugares cálidos y calientan las zonas frias

  6. Deshielo e incorporación de agua dulce a los océanos El 25 de marzo de 2009 se desprendió un témpano de 40 km de largo por 2,5 km de ancho en la Antártica. Posteriormente se han desprendido otros témpanos de gran tamaño. En el círculo polar ártico la superficie cubierta de hielo cae continuamente con oscilaciones sobre esa recta decreciente. Al llegar agua dulce al océano, producto del deshiela, las corrientes pierden velocidad y su característica de equilibrar térmicamente el planeta y dando lugar a temperaturas extremas. Cuando hacer frio las temperaturas son más bajas y cuando hace calor las temperaturas son más altas.
