Where do we find this passage in the Bible? • We find the story of the Coming of the Holy Spirit (sometimes called Pentecost) in the Christian Scriptures (New Testament) in the book called Acts of the Apostles. • The book was given that title because it contains the ‘actions’ or ‘acts’ of the early Christian community.
Where do we find this passage in the Bible? • ‘Acts’ is filled with stories about the Holy Spirit. • The story we call the Coming of the Holy Spirit is the first story to describe how the Spirit came to the community after the ascension of Jesus.

Who wrote this passage? • We don’t know much about ‘Luke’, but because he wrote two fairly long books, we think he was well educated! • Luke was the only Gospel writer to write a book about what happened to the community after the ascension of Jesus.
