User Assurance Testing (UAT) • Independent Test Manager from Home Office IT Test Design and Consultancy Service. • Formalised approach informed by fully documented Test Plan. • Risk based prioritisation of business critical functionality. • Step-by-step test scripts. • Users from different Departments to assist with UAT execution. • Defect management procedure to manage defects through to fix. • Upon completion; Test Report and recommendation to inform Go/No-Go decision.
Business Readiness • Business Readiness Checklist to be issued via Project Change Network. • Confirm status of businesses readiness for go-live, including: • Internet links updated with new URL for Single Jobs Portal • Communications/awareness products cascaded • Required training delivered • Revised guidance available. • Monitored during weeks leading up to transition to confirm readiness for go-live. • Will inform Operational Readiness Review and Go/No-Go decision.
Transition Approach 3 Feb 2014 31 March 2014 New System Old System Dual running of old and new systems • Vacancies can be posted onto new system from 27 January 2014 • New system will go-live from 3 February 2014 • User Profiles transferred to new system; user’s log in details remain the same • Vacancies posted on old system will remain accessible until 31 March 2014 • Users able to select which system they want to access
Transition Approach - Implications • There will be no break in recruitment. • Vacancies on old system only accessible until 31 March 2014. • Onus on Vacancy Holders to finish exercises by end of March; if not will have to complete off line. • After end of March will have to provide feedback to candidates by e-mail. • Reserve lists will need to be maintained off line by recruitment teams. • Need to use Civil Service Initial Sift Test (CSIST) tool to access individuals’ test scores. • Surplus individuals’ profiles will transfer over to new system. • Data retained on old system until 31 July 2014.
Learning & Development and Guidance • Comprehensive guidance hosted on CS Resourcing internet site, for: • Candidates (Internal and External) • Vacancy Holders • Recruiters • Management Information. • Programme of targeted L&D events and materials, including: • “Classroom” sessions for Recruiters • Familiarisation events for Key Users • Awareness packs for Vacancy Holders and Candidates.
