Selection of partners • Please complete the forms indicating your choice of partner (or the trainer) • Also the task or skill that you are going to be coaching • Any questions?
Copy of the Marking form • Well prepared and set the scene • Explained the purpose and the objective of the coaching session (or outcomes) • Explained the task and gave a good demonstration • Got the trainee to do the task in silence first • The trainee to repeat the task with feedback from the coach • Two way discussion on feedback • Mentioned when and where the follow up will take place • Good use of equipment and resources • Used open ended questions • Overall a clear and concise coaching session
Activities • With your partner design a session plan Remember to include the following: • Objective and desired outcome • Underpinning knowledge • Activity e.g. the purpose, explaining the task etc. • Equipment and resources used • Time (7 – 10 minute divided into blocks) 2. Practice of presentations (if time available)
Self Study Tasks • Go to e-learning and under ‘Content’ • We will go through the criteria together • First assessment is due next Tuesday 9 April • Second assessment due next Thursday 11 April
Next week • Monday - Presentations Part 1 • Tuesday – In other classes, as trainer is unavailable (will let you know where on Monday evening) • Wednesday – Presentations Part 2 • Thursday – Final exam
