  3. Welcome to new students To stand up and introduced themselves Where they are from How long have they been in Australia What they did at home (studied or work) What work they are doing now What was the major difference between home and Sydney? Have you ever given a presentation?

Make Presentations (SITXCOM005A) This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to prepare for and deliver effective presentations to a group of people It requires the ability to plan presentations that are tailored to the audience needs and to deliver interesting and coherent presentations using appropriate aids, equipment and public speaking techniques

  6. Definitions Presentation: Something, such as a lecture or speech, that is set forth for an audience Public Speaking: Public speaking is speaking to a group of people in a structured, deliberate manner intended to inform, influence, or entertain the listeners
