12 October, 1492 Dearest Family , I started my voyage on August 3, 1492 with the three captains; Martin Pinzon, the captain of the Pinta, Vincente Pinzon, the captain of the Nina, and Christopher Columbus , the captain of the Santa Maria, which I was on.

  1. 12 October, 1492 Dearest Family, I started my voyage on August 3, 1492 with the three captains; Martin Pinzon, the captain of the Pinta, VincentePinzon, the captain of the Nina, and Christopher Columbus , the captain of the Santa Maria, which I was on. But now it’s Friday October 12,1492.We had a looooong voyage, and we did not get much sleep. We had to watch for Indians. I started to get sick. But thank God ,I didn’t. It was a long voyage, and I was so happy to see land!!!!!!!!! I was so ready to get off the boat, that it felt like I was stepping on a angel! The island is called Guanahani, at least that’s what the Tainos call it. It has lots of trees. There are lots of birds that sounds very nice. The Tainos lack clothes, and some don’t even have clothes! We can’t understand their language.

  2. 12 October, 1492 The Tainos swam to our ships and wanted to swap parrots, balls of cotton thread , and other things for our hawks bells and little glass beads. That was our LONG trip across the ocean. I hope to see you soon. Sincerely, Kyle Adams
