Examples • Coniferophyta • Conifers Gymnosperms; reproduce with seeds produced in cones. Usually evergreen. • Eg. Pine trees • Ginkgophyta • Ginkgo biloba Only species in a phylum, a tree often planted in urban environments. Gymnosperm; reproduces with seeds that hang from branches. • Eg. Ginkgo Trees

How are plants the most amazing living things to ever be living in the History of the Entire Planet… Ever. • They produce oxygen • They are the only organisms that can make food from sunlight. • We eat them, and without Plantae we would have nothing to consume. • Even if we ate animals the animals would still need to eat some type of plant before we got to them. • Q.E.D. Without plants we would all die.
