SISTEM DESULFURISASI GAS ASAP • ( FLUE GAS DESULFURIZATION )/FGD • Merupakan upaya untuk meminimalkan senyawa sulfur yg keluar dari gas buang. • Senyawa SO2 yg terdapat dalam gas buang dihilangkan menggunakan proses Wet Scrubber ( pembuangan basah). • Dibedakan atas : • SISTEM REGENERATIF • SISTEM NON-REGENERATIF

SISTEM REGENERATIF • Dalam sistem ini, suatu zat pereaksi yg digunakan untuk menyerap SO2 dari gas buang kemudian zat ini diambil kembali untuk digunakan lagi. • Produk akhir dari sistem ini adalah ASAM SULFAT ( H2SO4) atau elemen-elemen sulfur. • 2. SISTEM NON-REGENERATIF • Zat pereaksi tidak diambil kembali dan produk akhirnya adalah garam-garam sulfur dari Calcium dan Magnesium ( CaSO3, CaSO4, MgSO3 dan MgS04).
