Current Allocation (Bluefire) • ~155,000 gaus per year • 60% one-time use; 40% 30-day rolling allocation • Wiki page: https://wiki.ucar.edu/display/ASPGAU/Home • Strategy • 30-day allocation for small jobs (code testing, etc.) • One-time for larger jobs >1000 gaus • Leverage with Lab/Obs/Div allocations • Make sure you test before using one-time gaus • Use them or lose them

Yellowstone and Allocations • 74,592 processor cores • 4,662 nodes • 149.18 TB total system memory • 1.55 petaflops peak • 29.8 Bluefire-equivalents • Allocations increased ~10X • HPSS data archive > 100 petabytes (108 Gb) • ASP allocation ~1.5 Mgau (1.5x106 gau) – mainly one-time usage • Transition in June 2012 • https://www2.cisl.ucar.edu/docs/allocations
