Procedures • Information on board • Make up/late/absent work • Students are responsible to turn in any work from being absentand to get their work. • Late work can be turned in within 3 days of the due date for half credit—It must be 100% complete in order to be accepted.

Procedures • Homework/Projects • Class website • Cheating--The consequences are as follows: 1) Both parties will be given a Friday School. 2) The person who asked to copy (the copier) will have to redo the entire assignment. This will also result in a loss of points. The student may only receive up to 80% of assignments value.

Extra Credit • One of the main focuses in Language Arts is grammar and writing. • 2 points extra credit for errors found in writing in school items or outside of school (must be signed by parent if not tangible) • Examples: newspaper, restaurants, mail advertisements, other teachers’ work, etc. • Strive for students to find errors in writing • Allowed 1 entry per week
Supplies • Binder Paper (replenish throughout the year) • Red Pen/Highlighter/Pens and Pencils • Composition notebook • Binder with 2 dividers for LA • Pencil sharpener
Donations • Scholastic • Supply list (in syllabus/welcome letter) • Books • Glue sticks • Tissue • Crayola: markers/colored pencils/crayons • 11x17 paper • Sharpies • Manila folders • Pencil sharpeners (small ones)
R.A.P.= Reading & Pride • 1:30-1:45 students will be silent reading • Students must have a book. • 2 points per day: 1 point for having a book, and 1 point for actually reading it • This will go in as Pass/Fail grade. • This is a school wide policy. • Take A.R. quizzes
Pride • 1:45-2:04 • Monday—watch Bengal Weekly News • Tuesday/Thursday—study hall • Students will be able to ask teachers questions or ask for help during this time. • Friday—fun activity • Chromebook guinea pigs
