  1. DAILY CAMP SCHEDULE • This is a 6 week day camp program that includes 4 days of activities per week and a field trip on the fifth day. Campers will be divided into 6 groups with 10 campers in each group according to age and ability. Each group will have 3 activities in the morning and 3 in the afternoon as follows: • Daily Fitness & Exercise Programs • 8:30 Arrive, Meet, Greet & Assemble into Assigned Groups • 9:00 1/A; 2/B; 3/C; 4/D; 5/E; 6/F • 10:00 1/B; 2/C; 3/D; 4/E; 5/F; 6/A • 11:00 1/C; 2/D; 3/E; 4/F; 5/A; 6/B • 12:00 Lunch • 1:00 1/D; 2/E; 3/F; 4/A; 5/B; 6/C • 2:00 1/E; 2/F; 3/A; 4/B; 5/C; 6/D • 3:00 1/F; 2/A; 3/B; 4/C; 5/D; 6/E • 4:00 Pack Up & Line Up for Pick Up • Activity A: Physical Training & Aerobic Exercise • Activity B. Aquatic Activities • Activity C: Nutritional Education • Activity D: Personal Goals & Evaluation • Activity E: Team Sports • Activity F: Track & Field Activities

  2. PROGRAM DESCRIPTIONS • 1. Physical Training and Aerobic Exercise: The first half of this one hour program includes exercises geared toward conditioning the body, burning fat and toning muscles such as situps, pushups, pull-ups, crunches, etc. The second half of the program, is on aerobic exercises designed to improve cardiovascular health and endurance with a focus on flexibility and range of motion such as jumping jacks and jumping rope. • 2. Aquatic Activities: This program includes laps to warm up, swimming lessons for those who can not swim, water polo, water basketball, water aerobics and synchronized swimming lessons. The aquatic activities will be tailored to the age and ability of the group. • 3. Nutritional Education: This program includes instruction on healthy eating habits and provides the campers with lists of good foods to eat and foods whose intake should be minimized. It also includes education about what is included in a healthy lifestyle such as exercise, a positive attitude and information about over the counter drugs and the affects they can have on weight gain and loss. • 4. Personal Goals & Evaluaton: Each camper will be asked in the beginning of this program why they came to this camp and their measurements and weight will be documented. They will also be asked to write down what they expect to gain (or lose) by coming to this camp. Each day they return to this program, they will share what they did the previous day, with the group and tell the group how they think it helped or didn’t help them toward achieving their goal. At the beginning of the following week, each camper will mark their progress on a chart so they can see their progress. • 5. Team Sports: This program includes playing team sports appropriate for the age and ability of the group. Sports for younger groups will include kickball, softball, badminton and soccer. Sports for older groups will include basketball, tennis, soccer and touch football. • 6. Track & Field Activities: This program includes activities such as running, two man relay races, long jumping and shot put. The distances set for each group will vary depending on their age and ability. Plenty of fluids and healthy snacks will be provided for this activity and others that are played outside in the heat.

FIELD TRIP CODES • FT-1 Western Trail Riding • FT-2 White Water Rafting on Shenandoah & Potomac Rivers • FT-3 Nature Hike on Applacian Trail • FT-4 Paddle Boating on the Potomac • FT-5 Rock Climbing • FT-6 Field Trip to Harper’s Ferry Historical National Park All field trips include a bag lunch, snack and drink.
