DTSD Lean Government Initiative GOAL: Close out project finals within 6 months of completed work. WHY: • allows contractors to get their final payments in a timely manner • allows the department to liquidate unneeded funding and re-direct it to other projects Kaizen workshop held in January 2013. Identified areas to focus on to eliminate steps in the process that do not add value.
