Conduct • Students not in the classroom when the second bell rings will be counted tardy. • Required materials (textbook, class notebook, ink pen, adequate paper supply)must be brought to class each day.
Conduct, continued • No food or drink may be brought into the classroom. • Students must be involved in assigned learning tasks at all times while in the classroom. • Students will not make negative comments about other students and/or faculty or about class assignments and activities.
Conduct, continued • Profanity is not allowed in this classroom. If you are in doubt about a word or phrase, do not use it! • Racist, sexist, and/or ethnic slurs are not allowed in this classroom!
Assignments • No late assignment will be accepted. • Students must turn in all due assignments before leaving on field trips or other school activities. • Note: If you cannot get into the classroom before leaving for a field trip, turn your assignment in at the office to be put in the teacher mailbox.
Assignments , continued • All writing assignments to be completed in class must be written in black or dark blue ink and must be written on loose-leaf notebook paper. • Note: Following this rule is considered a part of the instructions in every written assignment; therefore, points may be deducted for failure to follow instructions.
Assignments , continued • Work missed because of absences must be completed according to the following guidelines: a. One class day of grace for each day of absence (or), b. According to a contract agreed to and signed by student and teacher
