  1. English 10 - 11/5/18 • What topic do you wish to explore in your paper? Share your opinions about that topic and how the story relates to real life. • Why did the mushroom go to the party? • Aerodynamic personnel decelerator – parachute. Goals – Discuss assignment sheet. Begin essay with claims, and develop the thesis. Also work on hook. Homework – Finish the book chapters 99 and 100. Don’t forget to study for vocab 9 tomorrow (p.2) or Wednesday.

  2. English 10 - 11/6/18 • Period 2 - Five minutes to study for vocab. 9. What will you have to change in your usual approach to write an intro paragraph that fits the assignment sheet? The body paragraphs? • Why did the Fungi leave the party? • Combat emplacement evacuator – shovel. Goals – Discuss Toulmin Model and essay structure. Work on “map” and quotes for body paragraphs. Homework – Have three quotes ready to insert in your body paragraphs by tomorrow. I will assign points. Study for Quiz 9.

  3. English 10 - 11/7/18 • Five minutes to study for vocab. 9. • What is brown and lives in the bell tower? • Afterbody – debris that follows a spacecraft in orbit. Goals – Successfully complete and correct Vocab 9. Review week 10 words? Homework – Complete intro paragraph of essay, with hook, connector, thesis, map. Study for vocab #10 next week.
