Advisory Period Schedule: Regular Days Four days out of six, the Advisory Period will only be fifteen minutes at the end of the day. On these days, Advisory will be called “Organize.” Students can organize or get clarification from teachers on assignments, seek extra help, or complete a learning activity that they hadn’t finished.
Advisory Period Schedule: Block Period On even/odd block period days, which will occur on two days of the six-day cycle, the Advisory Period will be forty-five minutes long. There will be sixty of these periods during the school year.
Advisory Period: Student Ratio and Designed Activities Each block day Advisory Period will have a designated objective and activity. The student to teacher ratio for these periods will be 15 to 1.

Olweus Anti-Bullying Most research-based and effective anti-bullying program; Grant-funded; Emphasizes power shift away from bullies; We will emphasize appropriate on-line behavior.
Digital Citizenship Early in the year, students will learn how to utilize devices and progress to more of an on-line workflow; Students will learn to use and access our Learning Management System, take electronic notes, access assignments, etc.; Students will learn our expectations for appropriate on-line behavior.
Social and Emotional Learning Team building will be a focus early in the year; Appropriate socialization and building friendships will be modeled; Resiliency skills will be developed as the year progresses.
Qualities of an Effective Learner Appropriate study habits will be taught; Organizational skills and prioritizing school demands will be addressed; Note-taking, research and test-taking skills will be taught, modeled and practiced.
Team Activities Competitions; Creative ventures; Celebrations; Educational activities.
