PROPOSAL. KNOT. KNOT. “ RATIONAL ”. We all are facing one of the biggest economical crisis of the last 50 years. This is not a time during which people can afford to be selfish. We are all affected by the crisis, and we can cope with it only if we are united and we act together.

  2. KNOT “ RATIONAL ” • We all are facing one of the biggest economical crisis of the last 50 years. This is not a time during which people can afford to be selfish. We are all affected by the crisis, and we can cope with it only if we are united and we act together. • Coping with the crisis. we need to be united and find a symbol that expresses the fact that we are all connected and bound. • We choose a simple, visible and effective symbol that all people in rich and in poor countries can easily adopt and use. • The idea is provide people with some tool that they can recreate and wear to send a clear message to Government to remember their commitments and not to forget the poor during the G8. • The knot is the chosen tool as it • Visualise the inter-connection among people, the idea that people and Government are “bound” all together in dealing with the crisis • Symbolize the fact that Government cannot forget their promises • Become a ‘call for action’ and a sort of identification mark that unify all people joining the GCAP in asking G8 Governments not to forget poor countries (we can think about having a with band with a knot)

  3. KNOT Version A “ PRINT AD“ Take action against poverty. Join us and make a knot to remember your Government that he cannot forget the poor. Explanation text : In this part of the ad we can put our message like “The financial crisis is affecting people in rich and poor countries. Is not time to be selfish. It is time to work together to build a new, fairer and safer world for everyone. Ask your Government to make the right decision and keep the commitment to fight extreme poverty achieving MDGs, and addressing climate change.

  4. KNOT Night. A young man enter secretively in an official building (just a movies set). The young man climbs a pole and reaches one of the G8 countries flag. He ties a knot on the flag. The young man climbs down from the pole and takes a look at the other 7 flags that have no knots. SPK : Take action against poverty.
