What’s a Blizzard? A blizzard is a huge snowstorm made of strong sustained winds (At least 56 km) and lasting for typically three hours or more. -Oh! I see! Cool!
Where Did The Great Blizzard Happen? The Great Blizzard of 1888 happened in 4 cities : New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts, and Conecticut. -Whoa! I live in New York! :P:York!
Where Do Blizzards Usually Occur? Blizzards usually form in the Great Plains of the U.S., in eastern and central Canada, and in Russia. -Whew! I’m glad I’m not Russian! Same for being Canadian.
How Do They Occur? Three things make a blizzard appear! • Cold air (below freezing) to make snow • Moisture is needed to make clouds and precipitation • Warm, rising air is needed to make clouds and cause precipitation -Man! Blizzards must be REALLY cold!
