PRESENTATION ON ACTION PLANS Sania Sultana & Mariam Mir DAMHS PHASE – IV
What is an action plan? • A sequence of steps that must be taken, or activities that must be performed well, for a strategy to succeed.
Elements • Specific tasks • Time horizon • Resource allocation
What is a lesson plan? • guide for teaching a lesson. • it is the goal (what the teacher wants the kids to learn) • the procedures for reaching this goal (the format of the lesson) • Measuring the goals accomplished (a handout, project, test) .
DIFFERENCE Action plan Lesson plan Lesson plans detail how teachers will deliver particular topics to the students. • Action plan detail the steps teacher intend to take to make positive changes to their current teaching practice.
Bloom’s taxonomy Original taxonomy Revised taxonomy • evaluation • creating • evaluating • synthesis • analysis • analysis • application • applying • comprehension • understanding • knowledge • remembering
Accountability • Communication skills • Creativity • Critical thinking

Listening and speaking • Giving direction • Observing and monitoring • Questioning
Encouraging • Intervening
Bloom’s taxonomy and action plan • Action plans are based upon higher order thinking i.e. Bloom’s taxonomy. • encourages students • requires higher order thinking skills. • implication.
