Explore Food – a free nutritional analysis tool from BNF. Teachers notes and student worksheets available too. New – front and back of pack labelling!
Healthy Eating Week Next year: 1-5 June 2015. Three main themes, aligned to needs for nursery, primary and secondary schools. The themes are: Food provenance Creative cooking Eat and drink well
2015 develop new active learning games, specifically linking to the applying nutrition; produce a range of new resources, including the opportunity to engage via whole school approaches, such as lunch time; set and monitor daily challenges for pupils and staff, supported by videos and social media engagement; run a series of cook-a-long events, some presented by children. Activity – in groups Create a diet for a day, using food cards. Review total energy provided, as well as food groups represented. Extension: 5 A Day? Drinks? Starchy food with each meal? Breakfast?
