CapSEEDS Project 60% of class grade Review details online – you are responsible for knowing all due dates and deliverables First due date: this Friday
CapSEEDS Project Turning work in: Usually you will simply update the document online and I will check your work - you will need to invite your teacher to this document. Late work will be checked using versioning.
Community Service Part of this class – 24 hours must be completed to pass (aka to graduate) If you miss a scheduled service for any reason (sick, work, etc), you are responsible for rescheduling to complete the full 24 hours before the class ends.
Class Structure Review this material online – you are responsible for knowing the grading system, rubrics, late policy, etc. Question on when something is due, how many points it's worth, etc? Look online before asking us.
Question 1 It's 8am next Tuesday and you're feeling ill. What do you do? • Call your community service contact person • Email your CapSEEDS teacher • Email your community service contact person • Do nothing, you'll let them know Thursday
Question 2 Your community service location has an outing on a Thursday morning when you're scheduled to volunteer. • You ask your contact person if you can miss the outing, without making up the hours. • You miss that day but you make up the hours on your own. • You ask if you can make up the hours after July 25th. • You attend the outing, even though it's double the hours.
Question 3 You miss one class due to illness and another due to a family trip. You also miss one of your community service days because of your summer job. • None of these are excused. • All of these are excused. • Only the community service absence is unexcused. • Only the illness absence is excused.
