  2. Root Words The root is the part of the word that contains the basic meaning of the word. Sometimes root words can stand alone as words. Prefixes and/or suffixes can be added to the base word making a new word. love loveable unloveable

  12. Informative Paper: Introduction/conclusion Before beginning our proofreading we need to check our papers and make sure they have a strong introduction and conclusion. Anintroduction states the main idea of the paper. A conclusion summarizes what you have said in your paper. The introduction and conclusion should relate without using the same words.

  13. Informative Paper: Proofreading Here are some other things to look for when proofreading: Are my paragraphs indented? Do the sentences in each paragraph focus on the same idea? Did I include facts and details? Did I put the paragraphs in a logical order?

  14. Are the sentences... ...and proper nouns Capitalized? ... Organized with a subject and predicate? ... properly Punctuated? ..written with correctly Spelled words?
