A little about Mrs. Stautz: • Family – Darren, Kendra, Kelsey • Seattle, WA native • SPU - Bachelors in Elementary Education • Lesley University - Masters in Education • Creative Arts in Learning • 27thyear teaching • Kindergarten for 14 years • 1stgrade for 3 years • 3rd-5th grade for 9 years
A little about Miss Yankelevitz: • Santa Monica, California native • Graduated from University of San Francisco with B.A. in psychology in 2012 • Graduate student at Colorado College earning Master’s degree in elementary education • Excited to be co-teaching at Chipeta Elementary!
A little about Mrs. Gann • Colorado Native for 14 years • Bachelors degree in Psychology/Biology from University of Denver • LOVE Learning and working with children! • First year in the classroom, but 5 years working with children
Goals forthe school year: • Build self-confidence in students • Grow socially, emotionally as well as academically • Show respect for self and others • Build social skills needed to be a good friend • Gain independence and celebrate unique abilities • Ability to take risks, have fun learning • Build foundation for aspiring life-long learners

Kindergarten Goals: • Goals correlate with D.11 e-skill and CO state standards • Look for quarterly reminders in the newsletters
DIBELs: • FSF- Fall/ Winter (First Sound Fluency) The children will not see pictures, they will just hear a word and try to say the first sound.

Snack & Lunch Time • We have a 15 minute snack break right before morning recess (please send a snack in every day for your child). • We have a 20 minute lunch break from 11:35 – 11:55. Don’t be surprised if your child does not eat as much as he/she does at home. Please send in cold lunch or have your child buy hot lunch. You can put money on your child’s lunch card on-line or send in a check.
