  2. El Programa MFS Se establece en febrero del 2011 mediante Convenio entre el Instituto Interamericano de Cooperación para la Agricultura (IICA) y el Gobierno de Finlandia.

  3. El Programa MFS • Objetivo: lograr una mayor contribución de los recursos forestales al desarrollo sostenible de la Región Andina • Propósito: introducir y adoptar innovaciones y eliminar cuellos de botella que limitan el desarrollo del sector forestal, a fin de contribuir a la sostenibilidad del manejo forestal y la expansión de las plantaciones forestales.

  4. Propósito y objetivo del Programa MFS • Financiamiento: • Privado y público • Agencias de desarrollo y bancos • IICA • Finlandia

  5. El Programa MFS • Programa del Instituto Interamericano de Cooperación para la Agricultura – IICA • Financiado por Finlandia para 3 años (4 años) • Cuatro países: Perú, Ecuador, Colombia y Bolivia • Opera a través de Convocatorias - 25 proyectos

  6. El Curso Título: Comercio del Carbono Forestal: Agregando valor a bienes y servicios de los bosques nativos y plantaciones forestales Objetivo del Curso: • • Proporcionar insumos conceptuales y herramientas para el mejor entendimiento del funcionamiento y de los beneficios del mercado del carbono forestal. • • Revisar marcos regulatorios nacionales para el comercio de Carbono Forestal.
