Economic • Merchants were at the bottom of the social class • The European traders only came once or twice a year
Culture • In the Tokugawa Dynasty, the Japanese borrowed the Chinese writing system, as well as their political structure, and Confucius idea. • Habuki.(Japanese theater.) • Haiku.(Japanese poetry.) • Religion was a big part of culture. The Japanese adopted Buddhism.
