  2. “Weird” Al Yankovic • One of the many things that “Weird” Al Yankovic is known for is creating parody versions of popular songs. • Although Al is not legally bound to get permission from the original artist, he always does. • Some artists claim they didn’t realize they had “made it” in the music industry until Al requested permission to parody their song.
