  1. ACHIEVEMENTS TOTW

  2. Jordan Romero reached the summit of Everest earlier this year, making himself the youngest person to have climbed the mountain. But he’s done a lot more than that. In the four years running up to this achievement, he climbed Kilimanjaro, Australia’s Kosciuszko, the Elbrus in Russia, Aconcagua in South America, Mount McKinley in Alaska, and Puncak Jaya in West Papua. Not bad for someone who’s only just entered his teens. Jordan’s now just one summit away from having completed the Seven Summits Challenge – reaching the highest peak on every continent in the world. His last and perhaps hardest challenge is the Vinson Massif in Antarctica, which he intends to climb this December. ACHIEVEMENT How do you think both of these teens feel after completing their challenge? What obstacles may they have overcome? CLIMBING

  3. ACHIEVEMENT What obstacles may both have overcome? How hard do you think it is to remain positive when things get tough? WALKING

  4. ACHIEVEMENT Do you think that people with a talent have to work at achieving their goals? How hard do you think it is to remain positive when things get tough? WRITING

  5. Ellie Simmonds OBE is a four-time Paralympic Champion and currently has thirteen world records to her name. Ellie shot to fame when she won her first Paralympic medal at the age of 13 years and nine months. This was the start of a string of firsts for Ellie as she went on to become the youngest winner of the BBC Young Sports Personality of the year in 2008 and then the youngest recipient of an MBE at the age of 14 years. - See more at: http://www.elliesimmonds.com/about/about-ellie#sthash.VCbrFkRp.dpuf SWIMMING
