Rules and interventions • All students are expected to: • Be seated and working when the bell rings. • No eating, drinking, or chewing gum. • Respect your teacher and classmates. • Raise your hand and wait to be called on. • Arrive to class on time • Consequences 1. Verbal warning 2. Pre-Detention (written warning)/ Phone Call Home 3. Detention 4. Pre-referral 5. Referral
Rewards • Students who display good behavior, participate in class, and turn in all assignments: • Receive Falcon feathers • Receive a homework pass • Good notes or phone call home
Classroom procedures • Entering the classroom: • All students are expected to arrive to class on time. When you enter the classroom you must move directly to your seat and quietly fill out your agenda. Once your agenda is complete you will answer the warm-up question. The warm-up question must be in complete sentences. If you finish early, you can read silently from your DEAR novel.
Tardies/absences • Tardies, without a pass, are unacceptable. All students should be in their seats and working by the time the bell rings. Tardy students must have a pass. After 3 tardies a consequence will be given.
Bathroom procedures • Use the restroom before class • In case of an emergency raise your hand and ask permission • A bathroom pass is required
Fire/tornado drill procedures • Remain Calm • Listen to the teacher • Exit the classroom quietly and calmlywith your teacher • We will exit out of the front door (side with the ramp). Wait on the ramp until everyone is out and the teacher tells you when to walk. • Remain with your class and teacher at all times
