High Level Goals • Build on success of Big Bang Science and Engineering Fair 2009 • Increase number of project entries from 186 to 250 for 2010 Fair in Manchester, and further growth thereafter, in a sustainable manner • Wider reach of schools beyond early adopters, to include schools from underserved areas • Build programme of Regional Fairs

Objectives • Increase visitors to 15,000 in 2010Raise awareness among schools, increase no. of schools expressing interestExpand age of competitors to 11-19 yr olds (from 13-19 yr olds) • Achieve growth of entries from 186 to 250; • Involve XXX schools from underserved areas • Run a feeder fair in each of the 12 regionsCreate a consistent structure across all regions, measured against Big Bang feeder criteria

Intel ISEF Educator Academy Reflection • Positive • Sharing Experience of people who have run fairs from around the world • Learnt about structure and methodology, BKMs (e.g. Shoptalks) • ISEF sets benchmark for quality, scale and international presence • Inspirations from other countries, opportunities to network • Negative: • US-centric approach • Not enough opportunity for discussions, sessions too short for it • Create some interaction with students, e.g. students’ panel (us listening to them) • Team Building activity, external activity (e.g. visiting schools)
