The Pulse System • Pulse is our new student information management system • Software interfaces with SIS – the source for all student data • Grant funded @$130,000 – no cost to district • Unique features • Real time data are loaded overnight to users • Leveled access (currently at for the District and schools) • Home acess • Data available include: • Enrollment • ADA • FRL • Discipline • Assessment • Student classification , e.g., ELL, Reg, Ed., SPED,
Training • Assigned 203 passwords for access • Held nine (9) formal training sessions • All Executive Leadership Team members, all Leadership Team members, all but nine (9) principals, over 90 Teaching and Learning Facilitators and over 25 Central Office and School Support Personnel were trained • Non-disclosure Policy presented to SAB • Next steps: Teachers • Future thoughts: Parent/Community access

Next Steps • Expanding the capacity of the system to include • Grades • Benchmarks • Other assessment data, e.g., LAS Links, TerraNova • Hiring several “accountability monitors” to use Pulse to support ten (10) schools with additional grant funds
