XAM – Top Issues • Interim Change to AFI 13-213 • Re-write of AFJMAN 11-213 • Improving seven AM support equipment (UTC) packages • Improving equip based on feedback from theater, technology • Finalizing AM Contingency Training CBT • Joint Airfield Operations Advisory Council • Standardize contingency airfield criteria • Assist sister services with training and proficiency concerns • Drafting contract statement of work template for contract AM ops • Coordinating w/AF contracting office…standardized, sound starting point 5 Aug-05

XAF – Top Issues • ATC / AM CFM WORKING PROJECTS • School House Single Track Training (Jan 06)/Extend Course 12 days • Convert 366 military to 287 civilians over 4 years, effective FY06 • Push DoD Age 31 Waiver through OSD…matches FAA • Update: Awaiting OSD Message Release • Change ATC/AM ASVAB entry requirements • ATC requirements are Gen 55 / Mech 55 Started in Mar 05 • AM Requirements are Gen 50 / Mech 40 ESD Oct 05 • ATC established 6 year enlistment, effective March 05 • Development of Tactical Readiness Center for ATC/AM • AM conducting feasibility study to convert 5 Lvl CDC to ADL • ATC/AM Re-recruiting update: 30 Bases visited to date; 10 Northern Tier Bases 7 – 19 Aug; PACAF tentatively scheduled for Sept • OTP Consolidation – All officer training at Altus, OK

  4. XAR – Top Issues • Airfield Operations Deployment IPT • Strategic Concept developed…addresses deployment issues • Combat Skills Training Working Group developed draft training plan…key to ensuring personnel are ready for deployment

  5. XAE – Top Issues • SWA AOR Support – Providing Site Surveys and Installation assistance for permanent installs of ASR, NAVAIDs in Iraq and Afghanistan • Working with AFCESA to strengthen CE survey training programs in support of accuracies required for TERPS use • Improved Modeling and Simulation capability used to predict impacts of changes environment surrounding NAVAIDs • DASR initial certification and commissioning • XR Support – MACS procurement efforts • AFI 13-216 rewrite
