It is your responsibility to look over exam review materials on my website prior to exams next week! • Unit 2: • Go over solution to “Truss 3” • Check your work • Any lingering questions about static calculations?? • Finish Activity 2.3.2-Tensile Testing with the SSA • Open your MS Excel .csv file that got saved to the class share drive • Highlight all test data (don’t select data from after the break) and insert a scatter plot with smooth lines, label the axes and make it look “nice” • “Save as” an excel workbook instead of a .csv to your :p drive • Insert the graph into the Activity – electronically for #14 (7 times) • Label each point on the graph using MS Word drawing tools (arrow and text box?) • Save to your :p drive and upload to the Unit 2 page of your Weebly when complete, don’t forget to publish!! • Weeblies will be due by this weekend for 9wks grading! • Fix the things that points were deducted for on 3rd 9wks rubric! March 19th (A-Day) & March 20th (B-Day) Day 23 of 45 A-Day: McCullough will be out on Friday! • FINISH Ballistic Devices • Safety glasses on when in the lab • FINISH trial testing: • Pick a fixed angle and fire device 10x, record distances • Fire device 3x at angles between 10deg & 80deg as indicated in the excel file on my weebly, record distances • Complete all data/trial testing, make sure recorded in engineering notebooks • Fill out the excel file, upload to the unit 4 page of your Weebly when completed (both partners) – as document & file • Make sure your distances are in decimal ft! • FINAL testing: • When ready to shoot the bucket see McCullough, draw your distance – 5 minutes to adjust & practice, then shoot for grade • Fill out Partner Rating rubric, save & upload to unit 4 page of your Weebly (as document & file) • Take a picture of your device, put on unit 4 page of weebly and write a description of your device, testing, the project-etc (1 paragraph). • Publish your Weebly!

March 11th (A-Day) & March 12th (B-Day) Day 20 of 45 • 3-11-14: Instructor not here today • Unit 1.3-Thermodynamics • Activity 1.3.3-Thermodynamics • Complete the activity in your engineering notebooks • The first 17 problems essentially are your “notes” for this topic so use the Introduction to Thermodynamics powerpoint found on the website to complete the activity. • When working out the problems show all of your work as noted in the activity. • Make sure everything is clearly labeled • Engineering notebooks & Weebly Sites are due by NEXT CLASS 3-13 (A) & 3-14 (B) for 9wks grading!
