Nach Präsentation einer Idee/eines Konzepts/eines Vorschlags in einer Konferenz wird gemeinschaftlich jeweils zu jedem Hut (oder Stufe/Abschnitt) in der vorgegebenen Reihenfolge ein Brainstorming durchgeführt. Die Urteile, die zusätzlich notwendigen Informationen, mögliche Promotoren, Nachteile und Alternativen werden notiert. Zuletzt gibt jeder Teilnehmer noch eine Beurteilung nach гeinem Bauchgefühl ab. Zumeist ist es bis dahin ziemlich klar, ob das Projekt Chancen hat, vertagt oder abgelehnt wird. gelber Hut: Vorteile der Idee, des Konzepts, des Slogans, des Produkts, der Technik weißer Hut:notwendige Informationen braucht es, fehlen blauer Hut:notwendige Promotoren braucht es fürdie Idee, für die Durchführung, für das Projekt schwarzer Hut:Nachteile der Idee grüner Hut:Alternative (zu Idee, Vorschlag, Konzept) roter Hut:Bauchgefühl 6 Hut Technik von Dr. Edward de Bono
