  4. GUIDING PRINCIPLES PDP anchored on the Duterte administration’s 0 to 10 point Socio-Economic Agenda and geared towards AmBisyon Natin 2040 and SDG 2030

What has been done so far: • NEDA with Regional Directors discuss national and regional issues in relation to the SDGs • Agreements with Philippine Statistics Authority on core indicators to maintain and be institutionalized • Budget department supports expenditures related to SDG implementation at the national and regional levels • Consultation with regional agencies and local government units in mainstreaming SDGs in the regional and local development plans • Align core indicators with Results Matrix that will monitor the progress of regional and local plans • Capability-building efforts for strategic partners

Issues • Terms of local and national officials • Need for sustained interest on the SDGs • Need for convergence among implementing agencies related to achieve a specific goal • Funds for conferences to share good practices and discuss pitfalls / implementation problems • Involving legislative officials who will champion for specific interventions such as local ordinances, executive orders, Republic acts
