    20. Overview Goal 1: Prepare noble educators for the challenges of a changing world. Goal 2: Strengthen children and youth in a changing world. Goal 3: Extend the benefits of our research and creative work to a changing world.

    21. Goal 1: Prepare noble educators for the challenges of a changing world. Educators with a sense of consecration and a spirit of personal sacrifice needed for effective teaching Teachers that safeguard the learning of all students by teaching and caring for each child as an individual Professionals who assume the responsibility to improve the lives of children and youth and accept ownership of the learning process Educators equipped with the unique toolkit necessary for excellence in their work: not only academic knowledge and teaching skills, but a strong spiritual foundation, a well-trained mind, and the nobility to think deeply, to collaborate, and to problem solve

    22. Goal 2: Strengthen children and youth in a changing world. Develop children and youth of noble character, who act with moral integrity and social competence Children and youth with educated minds, who think critically, solve problems, make wise decisions, and possess broad academic and cultural knowledge Children and youth who are literate, who read and write well Children and youth who are prepared for responsible citizenship

    23. Goal 3: Extend the benefits of our research and creative work to a changing world. Faculty and staff that conduct rigorous research regarding issues of consequence affecting the education of children and youth and the preparation of educators to be powerful agents of change Contribute powerful ideas and solutions to significant issues in the field of education Convert research of consequence into practice by creating products for educators, families, and communities worldwide Create systematic implementation models, based on ideas, solutions, and products, to generate learning environments of great potential Disseminate knowledge, ideas, products and models of substance through multiple channels of multiple audiences
