Proses maturasi sel B • Setiap sel B memproduksi antibodi yg spesifik • Sekitar 105 molekul ab, di display pada membrans el B • Sel B matur bersifat antigen predeterminan yang mampu mengenali antigen yg spesifik • Populasi sel B mempresentasikan sekitar 108 Ag spc • Matur sel B naiv, bila tdk berinteraksi dg Ag spc • Epitop adalah daerah perlekatan Ag dg Ab • Sel B berubah menjadi sel plasma bila berinteraksi Ag

Proses Maturasi sel T • Limfoid stem sel yg bermigrasi ke thymus -sel T • Selama proses maturasi sel T membtk gen code TCR • Ada 4 fam. gen: rantai α, β, γ, dan δ • Setiap sel T mengekspresikan antigenik spc TCR didsplay pada permukaan sel (~1015 mol) • TCR hanya mengenal antigen peptida yg didisplay sebg mol MHC

Jenis sel T primer • Sel T helper (Th): • Mengenali mol. antigen MHC tipe II • Diekspresikan sebaga CD 4 antigen dan • memproduksi sitokin utk aktivasi sel Tc, sel B dan bbrp sel imun • Sel T citotixic (Tc): • Mengenali mol. antigen MHC tipe I • Diekspresikan sbg CD 8 antigen, • Membentuk “cytotoxic T limphocyte” (CTLs)
