CSC Status • A preliminary overview of the Phase#1 lessons and plans for Phase#2 was given during the Run Meeting on September 1st. • http://indico.cern.ch/getFile.py/access?subContId=8&contribId=4&resId=1&materialId=slides&confId=4246 • CMS detector has been reopend • endcaps are moved all the way to towards the pit. • potential internal damage to a few chambers after magnetized dowel pins dropped on and dented a couple of chambers has been investigated: no problems observed • disconnected connectors on a couple of ME1/1 chambers turned out to be caused by magnetized strain reliefs: all strain reliefs for the six MTCC chambers have been replaced; the rest will follow. • services are back online: gas, HV, cooling and LV • A 3rd Maraton LV supply will be introduced in order to increase the overall LV capacity. • ready to continue stand-alone operations until the closure (planned for the 1st week of October)
CSC Status (cont’d) • Pre-Phase#2 work, in progress • in local DQM/offline analysis a list of chambers identified that need to be verified • single chamber runs • verify chamber timing • e.g. compensate for different lengths in AFEB-to-ALCT cables • verify chamber-to-chamber timing • verify firmware fixes that solve various issues that showed up in the data • e.g. anode-wire starting at 1 for all chambers • Monitor Maraton LV supplies for any power glitches • Include TrackFinder DAQ readout in the Local DAQ.
