Mrs. Tautfest • I grew up in Kirkland, WA • I graduated from Western Governors University with a Bachelor of Arts Interdisciplinary Studies • I live right here in Issaquah (5 minutes away) • Every job I have ever had, has involved working with children • I have wanted to be a teacher since I can remember; I am living my dream • Fun fact: I am one of six children AND I am the only girl

Typical Homework Math:Typically, math will be the main homework Monday-Thursday. Occasionally unfinished classwork will be sent home. Other:From time to time, there will be other homework for our class. Example: Projects Students are meant to spend ONLY between 30-45 minutes on homework each night. Most importantly: ALWAYS try your personal best

5th Grade Environmental CampCamp Lead: Ms. Kamau Who: Grand Ridge 5th Grade Students, 5th Grade Teachers, School Nurse, and Parent Chaperones from each class. When: April 27th-29th, 2020 Where: Camp Colman, Longbranch, WA What: 5th Grade Parent Information Meeting Night will be in February. Camp information, paperwork, costs and sign up for chaperones will be shared at that meeting. (Last year the cost was about $240 per student.)

Initiate and maintain verbal and written communication as appropriate with families, particularly our culturally and linguistically diverse families and traditionally marginalized groups.
