Terminology • Activstudio- the Activstudio creation software includes over 15,000 lessons, images, backgrounds, and activities ready and waiting for you to interact with. • Activprimary- this software has been designed especially for grades PK-5th to captivate students and engage learning. It features a lively interface and resources tailored to the elementary classroom. • Activpen- your activpen controls your computer as you touch, click and draw on your activboard. The pen tip is equivalent of the left mouse button, while the orange button located on the side of the pen is equivalent of the right mouse button. • Flipchart- flipchart is simply the name given to a lesson. Your flipchart can contain as many pages as you wish. You can incorporate a number of different media forms into your flipchart: sound files, videos, interactive activities, and web links.

  3. Getting Started • Double click on the Activprimary V3 icon • Click on the Configure Tab • Hover your Activpen over the Promethean icon in the lift hand corner until you hear a beep • Click on the surface (with the pen) • Click on the crosses • When the steps complete, your board is calibrated

  7. Pens, Highlighters, and Erasers ***Click on the Icon to select the color and width of the pen, highlighter, or eraser.
