Metering Issues Taskforce (MIT) Update to Retail Market Subcommittee April 18, 2012
April 16, 2012 MIT WebEx Conference Call • Provided update that NERC Operating Committee (OC) voted to suspend the Time Error Correction (TEC) Elimination Field Trial • Discussed ERCOT’s Time Error Correction (TEC) request to increase the (TEC) threshold from + 3 seconds to + 30seconds • Reviewed ERCOT’s manual TEC analysis covering the period of January 2011 – March 2012. • Determined that a follow-up MIT WebEx meeting will be necessary early in May to review ERCOT’s draft of proposed changes needed to internal TEC procedures.
April 16, 2012 MIT WebEx Conference Call • Taskforce attendees were asked if there were additional metering issues that need to be discussed to determine if a market solution is warranted. • None were discussed during this conference call, but there will be another opportunity during the next MIT WebEx conference call in May.
Metering Issues Taskforce (MIT) Next Steps: • Schedule a MIT WebEx Conference Call for the first week of May 2012 to: • Review and Discuss ERCOT’s draft proposal of procedural changes to their manual Time Error Correction timelines. • Develop a consensus recommendation of ERCOT’s new manual Time Error Correction procedures that will be considered by RMS for endorsement during the May 16th meeting. • Discuss any Market metering issues that MIT members may bring forward • Resolve any outstanding Action Item(s)
